ALBERT TOWN, Trelawny - Munro College and St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) girls retained the County of Cornwall Athletics Association's (COCAA) Cross-country titles after dominating the event held at Albert Town High last Thursday.
STETHS swept all three girls races in the Under 14, Under 16 and Under 19 sections, while Munro College won just one of the three boys races.
Nickeisa Williams won the Under 19 5kilo race ahead of Petersfield's Asaine Hall with another STETHS athlete, CARIFTA Games hurdles medalist Kimone Green taking third.
STETHS runners swept the top three places in the Under 16 4Kilo race with CARIFTA Games middle distance medalist Alethia McLaughlin winning ahead of Chantal Smith and Ackeliah Robertson in third place.
Kerry Scott won the Under 14 3Kilo race ahead of team mate Kayceann Plummer with Lewisville's Tasha Daley third.
Munro College's Herbert Thomas won the Under 19 boys 6Kilo race beating STETHS' Dwayne Hibbert while another Munro runner Jason Lewis was third.
Petersfield's Tion Grey won the Under 16 5Kilo race ahead of Albert Town's Avril Lemard and Petersfield's Javel Myrie. The Under 14 4Kilo race was won by Jauvaney James of STETHS ahead of teammates Shemar Salmon and Elijah Ffrench.
The Cross Country was the first event on the 2011/2012 track and field calendar that will continue early January with several track meets including the First Chance Meet to be staged by Irwin High.

When will the JC meet be posted? I hope that this year we will see meet being posted even faster than last year keep up the Good work
