HERBERT THOMAS IS NATIONAL XC CHAMPION

Munro's Herbert Thomas took his first national title on December   15th when he won the 2012 Junior Cross-Country Championships at the Manchester Club in Manchester, Jamaica.  Thomas won in a time of 20:30 over O'brien Firth of Holmwood in 20:43.  

Herbert is Deputy Head Prefect and an Upper Sixth Form Student at Munro College.

MCTF OPENS UP AT JC/WATA 2012

FIELD EVENTS STEP UP
Welcome back and all the best for the new year. MCTF opened up its development season with a number of strong performances at the JC/WATA Invitational last Saturday. Of particular note, four Class I athletes finished in the top 10 of the 100m and three in the long jump. Ifeanyi Otuonye (left) had a good showing in both the Class I 100m and long jump placing third (10.91) in the former and 2nd on countback (7.02m) in the latter. Delano Williams won the Class I 100m (10.72), Rajiv Lewis the Class III 800m (2:15.73) and Emmanuel Onyia the Men's Shot Put Open (16.18m; 16lb ball).

Next week will see split squads going to Kirkvine/JAAA in Manchester and the Douglas Forrest Invitational in Kingston.
